Pear and Sultana's Chutney


Here is a good chutney choice to have at home for when a craving of a cheese board just arise.

I have to confess that I made this lovely chutney after realise that instead of 1 bag of 5 conference pears something went wrong with my supermarket online shopping and they delivered 5 bags without charging me for that mistake….so, what I’m going to do with such amount of pears?
Chutney, Joana, you going to do a beautiful chutney that you can store for a good period of time and even offer and share with your family and voila, here is a chutney recipe.
Ingredients (3 jars of 200Gr):

.500gr of pear (peeled, cored, chopped and diced)
. 1tbsp olive oil
. 200gr sultanas/raisins
. 100gr soft brown sugar
. 150ml red wine vinegar
. pinch of sea salt
. ¼ teasp nutmeg
. ¼ teasp all spice
. 2tbsp balsamic vinegar reduction


Preparation:
In a pan place the olive oil, sugar and sultanas and leave to caramelized on a low heat.

Add the red wine vinegar and on a medium heat leave to reduce a bit.

Add the pears, stir and season with some salt, grated nutmeg, all spices and balsamic vinegar reduction.

Leave to cook in a medium heat for about 1 hour till smooth.

Check  season.

Pass the mix throw a blender and transfer for the jars whens hot and seal with the lead on.
