Snack is that meal that many of us just fail to get right and that goes tor the little ones as well.
Now well, I am aware of the range of packages, bottles and bags that supermarkets offer to "help" us with these meals. However, I'm also aware (thankfully) that most of these options have large doses of sugar, salt and other additives not at all good for our health.
And that's why I try my best to post here good recipes, ideas and suggestions for parents, family members and/or caregivers to choose from and hopefully make and offer them healthy, homemade, tasty meals.
The suggestion that I bring you today is another example of that. Something simple to prepare, with very accessible products and as it is a combination of familiar flavours, any child or adult will find it interesting (maybe not for those who do not like banana).
- Bananas, ripe
- Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
-Cut the bananas in the size you want.
-Put in a bowl the egg and beat it a little.
-On another bowl place the oats and cocoa powder
- Grab each piece of banana, dip it into the egg, drain well, and then into the mixture of oats and cocoa.
- Place them in a baking tray and bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly crispy.
Other flavour suggestions:
Avocado / banana, oats and cinnamon
Avocado / banana, dried fruit (grind in a food processor)
Avocado / banana, oats, chia, flax and orange zest
